Vocational Program
The Vocational Program at Caterpillar Care Centre is designed to prepare teens and young adults with diverse learning needs for real-world opportunities. We focus on job readiness, life skills, and independence, ensuring participants are equipped to transition confidently from school to community and workplace environments.

This program combines hands-on training, community exposure, and personalised support, aligned with international best practices in vocational rehabilitation and special education transition programs.

Program Objectives

Develop Job Readiness Skills – punctuality, teamwork, communication, and responsibility.

Enhance Practical Vocational Skills – training in relevant industries (hospitality, retail, childcare, office tasks, etc.).

Promote Independence – teaching money management, transport use, and daily living.

Build Social & Workplace Etiquette – handling instructions, problem-solving, and customer interaction.

Foster Confidence & Self-Advocacy – empowering participants to express choices and take ownership.

Pre-Vocational Skills: Following routines, task completion, communication.

Workplace Simulation: Role play of office, retail, and hospitality tasks.
