Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) at Caterpillar Care Centre is specially designed to help children with developmental, sensory, and functional challenges reach their fullest potential. OT empowers children to participate in meaningful daily activities – from self-care and school tasks to play and social interactions.

Rooted in international best practices (American Occupational Therapy Association & Australian OT Framework), our program integrates therapeutic strategies with real-life skill-building, ensuring children thrive at home, in school, and in the community.

Success & Impact

Research shows that children receiving early OT intervention demonstrate:

  • Improved participation in school routines.

  • Better self-regulation and reduced behavioural challenges.

  • Greater independence in daily living.

  • Enhanced social confidence and friendships.

Our success stories include children who moved from avoiding sensory input to actively participating in classroom activities, or those who developed the skills to write, feed, and dress themselves independently.
